E-Mail senders are getting "Receive, Open & Delete" Notification 1

I upgraded GW from 5.5.2 to 5.5.4 upon upgrading I found that when my staff receives E-Mail, the senders are notified that the mail is received, opened & even deleted.

How can I stop this, (turn this feature off). I have tried quite a few things including updating to the newest GWIA Agent.

Have you tried changing the settings on the Groupwise notify globe? Right click on the globe and choose options. Uncheck any notifications, sounds, etc., you don't want.

You also might want to check (using NWadmin) for the global settings for all users.

Donadee, thankyou for your reply, but that is not the problem, I am familiar with the Notify options re: Groupwise Client.

My problem is that when a Groupwise user receives an E-Mail from outside the system Mailer-Daemon will notify the sender that the E-Mail is received, then opened etc. Thus sending unwanted E-Mails to the sender.

I need to know how to turn this off. I am desperated to get this problem resolved.

In NWAdmin>GW view>GWIA properties>Optional Gateway Settings, Outbound status level: set to undelivered. That would send only undeliverable status information. There are 5 options: None, Undelivered, Delivered, Open, Full. You can check GW documentation for the whole story.
