E-mail Problems with Outlook Express

Hi I wonder if anyone could help me with an e-mail problem?
Ever since I joined up with Freeserves anytime tarriff I have had trouble receiving e-mails on my old address. Everytime I try to retrieve them It requests my user name and password and no matter how many times I enter them it will not either send or retrieve my mails. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you checked your POP3 server settings for your old e-mail account?

I am using Outlook Express 5.

System functions OK.

However, I have one big problem. I can only receive messages after rebooting. Otherwise I get a screen showing the system connecting, but it never does. Once I reboot, everything works.

I tried making repairs to Explorer. But that did not work. I also downloaded and installed another copy of Explorer. That did not correct the problem either.

Any ideas?
