E-Mail Notification

I am running version 7.3 of Backup Exec on NT 4.0 server and would like to activate e-mail notifications. When I tried to do this, I got an error that stated in part that I need a MAPI compliant mail system installed on the computer. The error message suggested Microsoft Exchange. Other than Microsoft Exchange, are there other MAPI compliant mail systems available for use on NT???

Use the email that comes with NT (Windows messaging).

You can use Outlook Express. If you don't want to use a Microsoft product, try Netscape Communicator, Eudora (

http://www.eudora.com),

Pegasus (

http://www.pmail.com).

Another would be try and use Sendmail (

http://www.sendmail.com),

but I believe they charge use licenses.
