From within a database using Access 97, I run a macro from a command button that outputs a query into an .xls format onto my C:\ drive, then I have to e-mail it to another location via the attachment process.

Is there any way I can use the output to macro but have the output destination as an e-mail address or perhaps it can be done in VB.

Thanks for any help with this dilemma.

Hi!

Try using the SendObject macro. You can email your query in .xls format using that action.

That does exactly what I require, and it gives you the option to write an attached message as well.

Thank for your prompt assistance.

Any idea why the .xls file might not automatically attach itself to the e-mail?
