E-Mail forwarding

Hope someone has an answer for me on this... I have setup e-mail forwarding on an extension but the message is still being "copied" to the mailbox (I made sure I selected forward in the e-mail settings), it does send the e-mail but the user still gets the MWI and there is a new VM in thye mailbox. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this would still be happening?

broken? try deleting and re-creating the user, and nix their mailbox as well.

Turns out is was the system, re-boot fixed the problem.

Ah yes...when in doubt, reboot it. That's the first troubleshooting step with pretty much anything electrical.
