E&M trunk module

how do you install an E&M trunk module in a MICS 6.1 using a fiber cable in slot 3

you sound close. once you have hooked your exp cabinet up, you need to make sure that the cards are assigned properly. in maintainence you can disable the card, and change it to E&M, most likely it's set to loop. good luck

I have the fiber cable connected from the trunk module to the ICS (top fiber connector in the ICS)

I go to hardware and look up the cards, it reads:

mod03stnmod
mod04stnmod

this is all it shows

I go to the maintenance command and it also only shows

mod03stnmod
mod03stnmod

it is like the ICS doesn't see the E&M card

i went into the maintenance and the system isn't even showing the trunk module. same with the hardware command...it only shows the modules in 3 and 4 in the ICS

everything else is showing "unequiped"

looking in the book it says the probable problem is:

the fiber cable is defective
the E&M module is defective
the trunk module is defective
the fiber connector in the ICS is defective

i can change out the fiber cable and the trunk module.

anyother ideas?
