Dynamic Parameters not available

I am setting up a parameter and the Static radio button is checked and I can see Dynamic but it is greyed out and I am unable to check it. How is this option enabled?

Post your database/connectivity, and how you are extracting the data (Stored Procedure, View, ?).

I have some reports using SQL Server, some using .dbf files, some using Access. All connect through ODBC.

The repository explorer option is also greyed out on the view menu?

Just discovered that this feature is not included in the standard edition of the product, which is what I am using.
