Good morning,

I'm using CR2008 and have embedded a formula into an OLE Object which points to the location of a picture. When I run the report in CR, the picture shows perfectly in Preview mode. However, when I run the report from our software, the Crystal Viewer leaves that section blank.

We use VS2008 to develop the software and I use CR2008 to develop the reports.

Is there a limitation in the Crystal Viewer which prevents dynamic images from showing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated from the reporting aspect.

Thanks.

Is your application a web application or a Winforms app? If it's a web app, then I believe security in IIS prevents you from accessing files on the drives or network directly. They have to be in a folder that has been configured in IIS and you would have to use a relative path like "..\Images\myimage.jpg" instead of "c:\Images\myimage.jpg".

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll give it a try and let you know how it works out.

Thanks again.
