Hi,

I made a dynamic graph in a normal xls file by using the offset function and some named ranges. I used as an example. In the graph I have to mention the name of the file where the graph is part of for excel to bilt the graph. This works fine for *.xls but I would like to make the dynamic graph part of an *.xlt so I can use it as template. Excel gives an error when I use an xlt. So just changing the xls in xlt is not working. Is there another way of making an dynamic graph in an xlt file?

thanks

Hi,

In Excel 2002, I created a workbook with data and named ranges and another workbook as a chart template.

I had no trouble at all opening the template and updating the link.

Skip,

After your remark I looked again and found the real problem: there was no data to graph.... and yes I am ashamed ;-)
