Clarify. Are you talking about setting things up in the public internet with 3rd party dynamic DNS registration, or are you talking about setting dynamic DNS up internally on your network with Microsoft solutions?
External dynamic DNS services like dyndns.org use authentication with every new IP registration. That authentication is very similar to SMTP authentication. Internal dynamic DNS with Microsoft uses Kerberos (if the zone is AD-integrated).
I was talking about setting up an dynamic dns internetservice such as dyndns.org.
The problem with dyndns.org (and others) is for updating you need a login and password (which is good) but the password is for the complete domain,.....
Let's say we want to set up a dynamic dns system with the domainname example.com
We would like have a seperate updatelogin and password for each record: client1.example.com, client2.example.com,.....
Not possible with dyndns.org unfortunately, Their answer is: We don't support reselling,... which I understand.
The only way is to set up such a system ourselves I guess,...
