I was wondering how I can create a dynamic distribution list based on a persons office location that is set in there user account in the AD......thanks

Active Directory Users and Computers, New, Query Based Distribution Group.
Give it a name.
Customise filter.
Customise.
Advanced.
Field, User, Office Location.

I am using exchange 2007 and do not have this option in AD users and computers.....I believe that I might need to use the exchange console.........Thanks

Have you done setup /prepareAD to extend the AD schema? QBDGs are available in AD once you do that.

If you want to do DDLs in Exchange through the console, drill down to the Recipient Container, open Distribution Lists, right click on it and choose new Dynamic Distribution Group get create a DDL but you can't play with the AD attribute "Office Location" with that.

I've tried this on a 32 bit DC, a 64 bit DC and an Exchange 2007 server for the above.

I did run the setup /prepareAD on the 64bit exchange server that is a DC but the options where not added to the active directory users and computers. I am downloading the 32bit demo of exchange and will try running it on the PDC of the domain to see if that makes a difference........thanks

I seam to be getting conflicting information. Some say that this feature is not available in exchange 2007. this is a new install for us we did not do an upgrade. if that makes any difference... also I ran setup /prepareAD on the pdc and rebooted it and made no difference.......thanks

If you've already run the schema updates on one server successfully, running them again (on another server) isn't going to help.

Zelandakh gave you the steps to go through, and those can be found in many sites available in a Google search, such as
