DXF or DWG import error

I run Corel Draw 11.633 and am trying to import either a DXF or DWG file.(AutoCad) I keep getting an error message "Document dimensions are too large". Too large for what? I have plenty of memory. Why won't it import them?

Is it on a CD or external device ?

Programs sometimes try to create temporary files on the same device as the source, which in the case of a CD is read only and an external device might not have enough free space.

If so, copying to desktop and importing from there may solve the problem.

I've known 'too large' to mean too many nodes on a complex drawing, however...

Can you try convert dxf/dwg to pdf x/1a and import the pdf into coreldraw 11?
