I've got a 2 points that I want to connect up, however I need a third point since it isn't line of sight.

Point A = AP900+
Point B = Ap900+
Point c = Dwl-1500

Point C is on a hill(with minimal trees)

A & B are approximately 3kms away from C.
I find that I can get a reasonable signal but I can't access point C(ping) through either a or b. i also noticed even though I get a signal. The management software has trouble picking up the mac address of point C.
Can anyone tell me if I would require an amplifier?

As long as RSSI and Link Quality each stay above 20%, I have found that you should have no problem associating the points.. but if it falls below 20% you'll run into problems.

Are you using this equipment as outdoor access points for people to associate and surf from?

I am using them outdoors.
The Ap1500 is on top of a hill at the moment.
I am going to raise it a couple metres higher in case the treeline is affecting it(although it is minimal).
I just wanted to check whether 3kms was grounds to add an amp. Even though theoretically it isn't.
Also, is anyone familier with the repeater mode for the Ap 900+s?

Well the repeater mode for the AP900s works close to the same as any other AP with a repeater option. It WILL become transparent. Or should anyways. And at that point.. what your clients will see is the original AP that the 900 is then repeating..

Hey lloyd,
I see your an Isp.
Have you begun using wreless in that application yet?
If so, what have you found is the best way to monitor users through it for bandwidth and data limiting?
