Could someone tell me a way to generate a JPEG format file, 300 DPI from a DWG format? The layouts are in DWG format & I need them in JPG. Any Help?

You can directly export the drawing as a bmp. It's not a looking picture file though. I think the standard installation of AutoCAD 2002 comes with a "print" to print to jpeg format.

The command is "jpgout". I don't know what resolution that will give you. For higher resolutions see the other post about printing to a file, with a raster printer set up.

I normally just print to PDF then open the PDF in PhotoShop. Save the image as a JPG or TIFF and use it as you wish.

Go under PlotterManager and add a plotter. Pick a local printer like My Computer or Network Plotter and then select RasterFormats. From ther, pick the parameters and settings you want.
