DVD RW coul not read a zone 3 disk ... Please explain...

My Sony DVD RW DRU 510A failed to read a zone 3 DVD movie (error message = "No disc in Drive W:/ " ). The same DVD disk played O.K. in a Zenith DVD player (Model DS5512NC ). I tried "DVD Region Free v3.25" but the same message appeared. Somehow, the burner could not see the disk ! Please explain why this happened and advise how to overcome this issue. Thanks,

Apparently, your Sony DRU510a could not read the DVD disk at all . Try the disk in another internal DVD_ROM ( in a friend's PC system ) . Good luck !

Zone 3? You mean Region 3?

You need to set the DVD to read other regions under the Device Manager>DVD/CD-ROM drives. You only get to change it 4 times.

Thanks busuabo and fizzak for the tips ! I tried the DVD disk on a DVD-Rom LiteOn in a friend's system and it worked ! Then I checked on the DVD region selection of the DVD drive on my system as suggested by fizzak . It was selected as Region 1 and I have 4 changes left. I did not want to change to Region 3 just due to this one disc . I tried "DVDIdlePro v3.25" and in the program settings , choose "Region Free" option. Now I can watch this disc without having to change the Region of my DVD-Rom ! So the problem was solved by a software solution !
