What is the difference and which is better... please be as technical as you can... I just made a purchase of a Panasonic DVD-RAM/R model #LF-D321. I also then purchased some dvd-rw's and the drive cannot use the media... did I make a boo-boo... and notwithstanding cost, which way should I go... RAM or RW...

Thnxs... debonairOne

DVD-RAM is from a IT point much better because it has the ability to backup 5.2 GIGs of data (double-sided) and it more stable thous i ahave found that finding a program that burns DVD-RAM is almost impossible try Stomp's RecordNOW product is very very good. and no DVD-RAM drives can not burn DVD-R/W sorry. I got caught there too. IF u have any specific questions let me know. Robert L. McRae

Thanks for the info... I see I have some reading to do, but for compatability reasons, I think I should purchase a DVD-RW Drive... This way, I can share XP images with remote sites that may not hava a DVD-RAM drive... debonairOne

Guess What,
I realized that my DVD-RAM will write to DVD-R media... I was attempting to use it with DVD-RW and that was my problem... Thanks for all of the info.. debonairOne
