DVD Player in Windows ME corrupts picture

When using ME Picture is unwatchable with a Qhadrant International decoder card. With 98 picture was perfect. I've lowered resolution and colorto 800x600 and 16 bit.

do you have a hardware DVD decoder card, or are you just trying to use WinMe's built in software decoder, if either I recomend a different player (if it's hardware use the one it came with) I recomend Xing DVD player (fastest known) or PowerDVD Player(best features known).

The Hitachi G2000 4x DVDROM cam=e with a Qhadrarant International Card with drivers for WIN98. No new drivers for ME are available or likely to be. I disabled the QI transport and am using theWIndows DVD player. It'd picture is unwatchable because of horizontal scrambling in the picture. Any ideas?

Then I would still recomend one of the software decoders I mentioned above (Xing or PowerDVD) check out 7thzone.com it may be able to help, I dont rely on Microsoft media when it comes to hardware. Essencially Win98 drivers are supposed to work with WinME (Theoretically since WinME is nothing more than a revisied Win9x, with removal of DOS)
