Hi

My DVD drive suddenly stopped reading DVDs (tried 3 different discs) but it reads CDs no problem. it's about 2 yrs old, do they deteriorate? is cleaning advisable? any ideas appreciated.

Thanks folks

A drives ability to read a DVD can be severely hampered by dust or dirt on the lens. Try cleaning the drive out by spraying some compressed ('canned') air in there or using one of the proprietary DVD lens cleaning discs.

It sounds like it may be a cleaning issue.

Hope this helps.
