HI...

I'm looking at purchasing a dual format DVD +/- Burner... anybody have any suggestions.. I'm not too familar with dvd burning technology so any info would be beneficial... Also info / experiences with any specific models would be appreciated....

Just giving wisegi some information on what he can expect
from 4X burners and usage.

I never said you were. Did you see paparazi's post earlier? Am I allowed to make a comment on the Lite-On drive, whether you were promoting it or not? What's the big deal anyway?

Trying to voice your posts over others is rather rude. There are a lot of people here (in the thousands) that have twice the knowledge and tact, but half the mouth.
 
the three best dvd burners are the plextor 708a, tdk 440n and the sony 510a - the plextor is around $200 with the tdk and the sony around $145-160. they are the fastest and come with the best software bundles. the plextor is an 8x dvd-r and will do that on some 4x media.
