Duplicated or wrong digits on DTI2 Trunk

Hi everybody. I'm having this curious problem when dialing from our digital phones (M390x). We have 5 digital trunks, each one connected to a DTI2 card. Everything works fine, except when we use an external audioconference service. I will explain. Some of our users need to dial an external number to get connected to an audioconference service. So they dial a telephone number, then a IVR system asks for a password and if it's valid, they are connected to this service.

The problem is with the dialing of the password. This occurs after the call is connected. When we dial the six digit password, we receive an error message and the IVR repeats the digits that supposedly we dialed and we can see that some digits were duplicated or they were dropped.

We don't experience this kind of problems with Voice Mail systems, or auto attendants. Even with other similar services, like banks where they ask you to dial your credit card or account number, all of the digits are send OK. It's only with this audioconference servicie that we have this problem.

But the worst is that this service functions well when you access from anywhere else, except from our location. So, I brought a BCM 400 system to test the trunk and discard any problem with our CS1000, but the trunk works fine from the BCM.

I forgot to tell you, our PBX is a CS1000 equal to a Opc 61C. The release is 4.5.

Any suggestion? thanks for your time and support!

I forgot to mention that analog telephones can dial the same number and password over the same digital trunks and these calls are always correct!...the problem is a combination of a M390x telephone, the digital trunks and the telephone number of the audioconference service.

Thanks!

the problem may be related to vod trunks instead of vce (dsel) prompt in the rdb.. toggle that, test.. get back to us

Hi John Poole, thanks for taking a time to read this thread. I've made the change you mentioned but I still have the problem.

We have other PBX with the same release version, the same type of trunks and they don't have the problem when dialing to this number. We have compared the programming for the trunks and for the routes but we haven´t found a difference between them.

Thanks for the support!

Do you get the same problem dialling handsfree and when picking up the receiver? I am thinking that if this is only handsfree it may be something to do with echo or background noise, similar to problems some older Polycom units had in environments not conducive to handsfree operation (hard walls ceilings, lots of glass etc)

Hi Trvlr1. No, someone else suggested the same. I have been tryin' with the mute on, using the speaker or even the handset, but it's the same thing. I have to say that the 99% of the attempts fail, but suddendly, one of them is succesful.

Thanks again!
