Dump MSN Explorer

I am very new to XP having just installed it last night. I really don't like MSN Explorer and prefer to use just IE, but MSN Explorer is the default browser and it comes up no matter what. Anyone know how to set IE as the default and be rid of MSN Explorer forever?

I am sorry but I am not at my XP cpu...so here is a ruff sequence you need todo....right click on the task bar....then select properties...now...one of the tabs will have what to display for internet and email....just change the internet to IE instead of MSN.......hope this kind of helps

once this is done to double check it is the default browser you then select tools from within IE and then Internet Options, then programs -> make sure that the option for making sure IE is the default browser is checked..then start up IE again and if it is not the default browser it will ask to be..

Go into add-remove programs and remove msn explorer.
