Please can somebody point me in the right direction to create extensions that have no physical port and be able to then forward externally on ip office 3.2 (53)

Thank you

Just right click in the user tab and create new. You will obviously need to give it an extension number.

I gather by forwarding you mean from a hunt group. If so on the user you will need to enable forwarding(Including Huntgroup calls)

Then in your huntgroup field create a new huntgroup. Turn off Queing and VM. Add you user and set the group to be a hunt/linear type.

Go back to your original group and add your newly created group in the overflow field. You can then save in and test.

After this you may wish to tweak with your timers.

Ahhh, this depends on your version number of firmware.

If its not 4.0 5 then do not worry just click the NO option.

What i need to do is point an incoming call to a dummy extension and have it route out to another location at the monent i am getting busy tone.

Why worry about dummy user?
Just point the ICR destination to the number you wish it to go to :)

Thanks for that, Im pretty new to avaya and thought it must be more complicated than that.

Why worry about dummy user?
Just point the ICR destination to the number you wish it to go to

You can't choose the CLI that is presented!

Which is why I create a shortcode and use that as an ICR destination

Take Care
