i just put a DID on a key on a phone and to get it to forward to switchboard (0) as opposed to where the actual PDN currently goes (v/m) i built a dummy 500 port and made the DN the DID # and set it to hunt/fna to 0. Besides HTA & FNA in class of service, do I need to modify anything else? thank you.

when you say dummy - is it a phantom port or a regular port with no crossconnect?

If phantom - and that is what I would recommend (but remember it uses a TN. if you are short on tns I would use a dummy ACD.

For phnatom - set FTR DCFW 4 0

If dummy acd - build in ld 23,
Req: new
Type: acd
ACDN: --> enter the did number
MAXP: 1
NCFW: 0

You could then add a name in ld 95

i don't think i can use a dummy ACD since i won't then also be able to program it on a physical key. I don't know much about phantom ports. how do i know if i even have any? and if i do do i just build them the same way as 500 ports?

if you need to also assign it to a physical set - phantom will not work for you either

yes, it needs to be on key 8 on PDN xxxx, but xxxx fna/hta's to voicemail, and this DID # on key 8 should go to the console, not voicemail, on fna/hta. So did i do the right thing by building the dummy 500 port? and what, if anything special, do i need to put in the CLS? thanks

yes you are right - with hunt and FTR FDN set to 0 and CLS FNA and HTA and MARP set to this set, that should be all you need.
