Hi

I have accidently changed the setting for a dumb terminal to pc - how can i rest the terminal back to vt100

Ctrl+- keys do not work

can anyone help

You mean port setting in AIX?

chdev -a term=vt100 -l ttyX

use the correct name tty0, tty1, tty2, ... instead of ttyX

-

Or the settings of the terminal (screen+keyboard) itself? That is very make/model dependent. What make/model are you talking about?

Hi

no , i have connected a dumb terminal to a server
booted into SMS menu

I can see the menu but when typing a number for a menu option it gives me ascii characters

how can i change the terminal back

remember i have not even got to the OS yet

Use the numbers on the top row of the keyboard instead of the numeric keypad?

HTH,

Depends on the dumb terminal
Early Wyse Shift Setup
Later Wyse Shift Select
ADDS CTRL (or Shift) Scroll-Lock
IBM3151 CTRL Setup

Try right and/or left Shifts and CTRL keys.
