Dumb question: how do I close my old threads?

You don't/can't they just fade into insignificance as new ones appear...how sad. :)

Or you could post that all is taken care of and all issues are resolved in the hopes that nobody posts after that again.
I am not smarter then my 5th grader either, at least that is what she thinks.

Don't feel bad there GenPat. Apparently there is a way to edit your old posts as well but I've never figured that out.
