I’m getting ready to install a dual port pri card (nt5d12ab) with d-channel daughterboard on a CS1000 rel 5.5. I could use a little help with the initial config.
I’m not sure exactly as to what shelf or slot I can use, or how to determine what the GRP, DNUM, and PORT number should be for the d-channel daughter board when programming the ADAN.
Beyond that, I know how to program the rest of the parameters CEQU, ADAN, RLI, Trunks etc.
Thanks for your help.

The slots you can use are determined by the hardware that is already in there. For example you could put 2 NT5D12 cards in loops 4/5 and 6 and 7, however if you have a superloop 4 then you cant use loops 6 and 7. The GRP is your network group that you are putting the card in, for exmaple network group 0 is loops 0 to 31, network group 1 is loops 32 to 63. The DNUM is any DNUM between 0 and 15 that is not already used. The Port# will be 0 or 1, even loop port 0 odd loop port 1.

If I plan to program one port as t1 and the other port as pri.
Is the a dip switch that I need to set one way or the other for t1 vs pri?

another question...I plan to install the card in network group 1, shelf 0 slot 6.
What would be the loop numbers for the two circuits on the card?
Is there an NTP that shows what the loop numbers are relative to the slot being used?

The dip switches have nothing to do with T-1/PRI, that is all software driven. Your loop assignments will be 44 and 45. Your loop assignments start in network Group 0 Shelf 0 and they start at Loop 0. Each network group and shelf gives you 16 loop assignments for a total of 32 loop assignments per network group. You should probably go over the circuit card installation section as well as the 1000M Installation and Commissioning to become more familiar with this switch.
