dual monitors VPN remote desktop

My Vista and XP computers at work have dual monitors.
If I use the MS VPN client from home and connect via RDP, I can only see the primary monitor, even if I max the resolution in the VPN client settings.

This is a bit of a problem when a window, dialog box, etc pops up on the secondary monitor and I can't see it.

Is there a workaround?

When starting up the RDP client, use the /SPAN option on the command line. That will let you see both monitors. Be aware that it's not "true" dual monitor support. It's just that both monitors on the computer you are connecting to will appear on the primary monitor of the computer you are connecting from. It's a bit hokey, but functional.

To get better dual monitor support you'd have to use a third-party utility like RAdmin.
