I just setup dual monitors on my Ti4400. I can play games and open applications in either screen. My only problem is when I am trying to view a DVD on the second monitor, it is just blank although I can see the window and the DVD controls and everything. The movie is playing (i can hear it) but it doesnt display ONLY on the second monitor? I am using CyberLink Power DVD and nView. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

PS Divx MPEGs work fine, its just DVDs that dont show the video.

Try first to drag power dvd to the second monitor and then hit the play button. Don't run the video on monitor 1 and while it's playing dragging it to monitor 2. Might be the problem.

You can try try to make the second monitor the "main" monitor (i'm not sure of the correct name because i'm using a dutch version of xp)

You can find is by right clicking on your desktop
-> properties
-> settings
-> click on the second screen (2) and choose "use this device as the main monitor (or something like that ;-) )

Hope it works!

Kocky - your suggestion did not work. If I play it in the second monitor it will not show. I can drag it to the primary monitor but thats not the screen I want to play it on. Any more ideas? Thanks.

MarkMeerten: I can make the second monitor the main monitor but then Windows continually tries to place "My Computer" and things over there. I would like to play the DVD on the second monitor set as the second monitor.

Also: I am trying out Ultramon, but it does not work too well :/ and Im not willing to fork out the money for it. Does anyone know of another program that spans the taskbar across two monitors???? Thanks!

Hmmm... a hard one ;-)

Maybe you can try to juggle a bit in the advanced options of your screenproperties...
normaly there's should be a Tab about your videocards...
play a bit with these settings...
I managed to get my TV working by "fooling around" in this pane!!

Succes...

PS if this doesn't work try throwing your pc out of the window... i don't think it will solve your prob but it will sure calm your nervs...

It works now using Interactual DVD player but pretty crappy. I dont think that player will play all DVDs so I guess it has somthing to do with Power DVD.

Also, I found an options in the newest NView which allow for the taskbar to span across the two monitors.

ONE LAST QUESTION:
Anyone know of any tool which makes windows open where the cursor is? Somtimes windows will open in the wrong monitor.

I've got a similar graphics card. I'm pretty sure there is an option for video overlay (or something similar) in the options for he card. I'll check later and post it's exact location. In the meantime have a look for it.

Thanks for your feedback. Are you referring to my original question or the last one I posted which was:

Anyone know of any tool which makes windows open where the cursor is? Somtimes windows will open in the wrong monitor.

Although I am still having problems with the DVD. I found a section call overlay controls which has some video mirroring options? I dont know what that stuff means though. Thanks.

"Anyone know of any tool which makes windows open where the cursor is? Somtimes windows will open in the wrong monitor."

As for that Ultramon works real well. Have been using Ultramon for about 2 years now and it has very low overhead and great options. If your worried about the money i have not been able to find any freeware out there that comes close. So my suggestion is just fok out the money.
Hope this helps.
