Hi,

I have created a DTS to move data from SQL to Access
database which is in a net work drive. It works fine in
my system, but if I run it from another nachine ,as the drive mapping is different ,it fails. (if I change the drive mapping it works)Is there a work around for this so that irrespective of the system the DTS can run without failing?

Try using UNC format, i.e. \\machinename\sharename\filename

Thanks, That worked. But now the problem is with the ownership.
How can Make it work ,when somebody else executes it ?

Open the package in design mode, then save it with a new name and provide the owner and user password. Then any one who tries to execute the package will have to provide the password and should be able to run it... ________________________________________________________________________________

I think you can also make the package run as another user.
Or even the app role account may work
