DTS & FTP

im using SQL server 2000 and am trying to connect to a FTP site using the ftp task in DTS. i am able to connect to the FTP site using smartFTP, but within DTS i am having no success. i get the error "unable to connect to the internet" when i try to connect to the ftp server within the dts package, so im not sure what is blocking me. is there a way to change the port settings? or make sure its in passive mode?

basically i need to get the file from the FTP server and dump the data into a table. is there another way around this?

Try writing a stored procedue to do it and calling that.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
