End users complaining that when they call a business with a menu, it is not seeing the DTMF codes, it does nothing when they press any key. How do you turn it on? I believe it was working, but they might not have had it turned on from the get go.
Thanks!

Here is what is in the system.

EEST YES
DTMF YES
EESD NO

that should be all it takes.. either test by pressing a # then respond to the menu.. other then that trunk type to ldr, or talk to your provider

Nah, it's not EEST. End to End Signaling is inherant. It's a matter of the timer that lets it pass over the trunk during call setup.

Print the Route. Look in the TIMR section. Notice your EOD and ODT calues are default. That's default for COs of 30 years ago....before menus existed. Set them both to 2056. Even 1028.

Here is the timers guide...notice they have not changed sincethe eearly 1980s:

the esst just gives you tones back in your ear.. some reports on no dtmf are caused by users not hearing the "echo"

Have you had any trunk changes in the PBX recentlly?---if this is a pri circuit check the trunk programming and verify that it's DTN--not DIP (default). The D-CH does the signaling on the call till it is answered--after that it inband on the channel (tn).It might be that you are not sending DTMF.

Here is what the timers say...

TIMR ICF 512
OGF 512
EOD 3968
DSI 34944
NRD 10112
DDL 70
ODT 3840
RGV 640
GRD 896
SFB 3

IENB 5
TFD 0
VSS 0
VGD 6
SST 5 0

What promptdo you have to acknowledge to get the timers to make changes. I tried going into load 16 to change it, but cant find the timers.
