Hi,
Really frustrated with IP office support from Avaya.
I opened a case for the following
1) Avaya IPO server edition with IP 500 gateway and 16 Port ATM module
2) Upgrade the system from 8.1.79 to rls 9.1
Since then whenever a call lands on ATM module and then Vm pro Welcome greeting, if i try to enter the desired direct no, m not able to dial or enter the DTMF tones, the welcome greeting goes on ...
If the same call lands on the IP Office ATM cards, it works fine....
its about three weeks, and now Avaya is asking for stupid logs...... logs of call recordings also...
Bit irritated, guys can anyone help me with this,,or should i directly change the ATM 16 module....

Just nosing about nostalgically, don't currently have access to an IP-Office and the equipment in my current office is S***, but reading through this thread couldn't resist sticking in a couple of thoughts.....

The VmPro used to be, by default, setup to receive DTMF tones inband. Therefore provided the caller rang from a device through a network that somewhere along the path generated a DTMF tone, then the VmPro if configured correctly would 'see' the tone and react to it (assuming it was setup to lookout for the tone).

If however the calling network is purely digital, and the Digit selection is forwarded as out of band signalling then the VmPro would not 'see' the digit press.

This should be easily verifiable by recording the whole call (Can't recall how this was done...but there's enough people on here that still work with the kit to advise you). In a working version I expect you will see/hear the DTMF tone in the recording. In the non-working version expect not to hear any tone. If however there is a tone, there was a clever engineer who used to have a little routine that would allow him to determine whether the VmPro would have seen the signal and what it would have made of it. If Sizbut is still active on here he maybe able to engage him assuming he's also still about.

Though could be totally out of touch with things and writing a load of c***. :)
