This is a sporadic issue. When individuals dial a number that has an automated attendant the attendant does not recognize the key inputs. Could this be an issue with a DTMF card in the switch. In the Nortel SL1-xt which cards are these and is there a way to test the channels on the cards.

LD 54 is not available in our switch. We get a ovl003. we are using release 17. after further investigation it seems to be one particular auto attendant. any suggerstions to resolve this issue. unfortunately this is the President of the college who is having this issue so i have to at least try to resolve this issue.

On that old machine... it is probably a TDS card or the timers in the RDB (EOD, ODT) are set a little too high and not expiring the End of Dial Timer. Print RDB in LD21, Change in LD16

There is also a timer in the customer data block called the "NIT" (Not to be cornfused with NIT_DATA. Print in LD21 change in LD15

TDS maint is done in LD34, but the only real test is to pull them all out and test one at a time

DTR might sound like the problem, but they don't send the tones out the door. TDS does

there appears to be 8 cards. most of the cards are set to the following value EOD 13952 and ODT 4096 however one loop has timer for EOD set at 13824 and another card is set at EOD 3968 and ODT as 3840. What is normal and what adjustments would you make?

there were patches for that if call went out over DID T1 - Hover RLS 17 has been retired and patches no longer available.

Upgrade your switch

Workaround - sent that call out copper COT trunks.

If you are in a country with newer central offdice, you can pair down the ODT to 2500 - 3000 - it will respond back with thre nearest value if you type 3000 for example

this link at my home page is the best explaination of the timers "early_route_timr.zip" 490kb
