has anyone ever heard of getting a voice t-1 set up and then having it stay busy after you call it for testing or when you change the trunk type it stays busy for a longer period than you think it should. please let me know.

could you elaborate a little please? a mismatch between the target lines and the physical lines of the DTM?

the span config and the trunk config must match provider..come mismatches work but not correctly..a good base for straight up T1 esf/b8zs "span" trunks e&m/wink

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

i have the selected properties set like you have above, but in the process i was looking at the module under media bay modules and when you click the module 1 under modules on bus and the module type at the top says t-1 for me. but if you scroll it down it has e&m and DID which is what i was playing with on the physical lines trying to figure out which one is correct. does the module type i was refereing to have to be the same as the trunk type under trunk /line data. thank you

well here goes

is it a plain old T1 or a pri T1

what is the provider set for"you must match the provider"

and last but not least do you actually know what your doing or are you playing "sorry i needed to ask"

why in the world would i be playing with a system like this. if you are confusing playing and not knowing what i doing with being exstremely frustrated with a system i have not been working with very long and which i have a deadline of three days ago then whatever, i am sorry to have wasted your time. thank you for your help, goodbye.

you know i need help with issues just like anybody else. i am new these forums, but is this how it works. you get a little help and then get criticized. i can't beleive it.

i said sorry ..i needed to ask..i did not critiize or say call a vendor i am only asking....BCM forum is a more open forum and more forgiving"i am on norstar forum and am heartless to newbies and people looking for cheap tech support"...just ask any crossover vendors or users will attest to it...actually proud of it...so sorry if i offended you and leave you to get you help

i have a guy that i pay good money to, to be my tech support, but there are times, like just recently that he is gone or to very busy to help me so this is when i chose to try this forum. am i misusing the purpose of this forum. please tell me. i read the how to leave a good post so it can be answered properly, but i must have missed the part that said if you found a phone system (bcm) that served every pupose you needed and needed help at all beware of the heartless. I guess i came to this with good intentions, i thouhgt, in the end i must of been extremely nieve. my apologies.

Some of us will help anybody and there are other's that will only help Vendors. I say if you don't want to help someone because there not yout type, than don't help. but you don't have to be nasty, just don't say anything at all.

Can't we all just get along!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Module 1 I have mine set to
Module Type PRI
Protocal NI
NSF None
Descending SeQ
Clock source Primary

thank you for your post acewarlock and for giving me your scenario on module 1. it is the end of the day here and i will look at it tommorow morning. have a good one.

Hey Nebraska76, I'll help even though my userid could be Oklahoma2000 because I'm in Norman Oklahoma. ANYWAY...the settings that are listed above could be causing your exact problem. Your settings have to match the CO EXCEPT the B Channel Selection Sequence. It needs to be the oppisite. If it is the same then you get random busy's and longer than usual disconnects. I know that when you put the lines in PRI-A that it is Ascending and watching the Line Monitor shows the lines working normally i.e. incoming from top down (Decending) and outgoing bottom up (Ascending) but you need the Module programming to be that way too. Otherwise the symptoms are random and sparatic. Go Sooners!!

thanks for the post jdavid99. i also spent quit a bit of my life in Perry oklahoma, but i swing with my birth place and the huskers. so i have no problems with getting help from a sooner. i am heading out to work on something else but will look at this a little closer monday. Thanks again. 10.29.05 should be good.
