When I call a certain extension it goes into immediate voice call. How do I remove voice call so the extension will ring? External calls ring the phone just fine.

I did a search on this forum and saw several suggestions to try, (such as Spkr + *7 + 1) but none worked. I tried to figure out what our Voice Call/Ring Tone programming code is thru COMMAND=200, but I'm new to this and am stuck. Can someone help me figure out what code to key into the problem phone to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.

SPK 823 is restricted. I did figure out this much: A163 code is under Cmd 200>6:722_61 (whereby I went through the expanded codes for 6:722 and code 61=A163, if that makes sense.) However, I've tried keying in a multitude of access codes with no effect: 672261, *672261, #672261; 72261, *72261, #72261; 61, #61, *61. None of those work.

I should have noted earlier that we have an NEC 2000 IPS.

Dial 61 and then press 1 and it should go bak to tone. Then if you want to stop this from happening CMD 1567<00 -15>0

I think the default code is 60.

of corse if your installer changed your codes from default it could take some doing to find it.

Chattygrl has already ascertained that the code is 61.

Chattygrl...However from what you are saying you don't seem to be able to use it. First it needs to be noted that it has to be dialled into the offending station as it seems (from what you said you are dialling) that you are trying to use it remotely. So if it is currently voice calling simply dial in to the actual station the code 61 followed by a 1 so 611 in all!

OzzieGeorge - I tried the 61+1 again late yesterday after I read your post. It worked! I must have fat-fingered it the first time. This forum is great. You really helped me out! Thanks!!

As always, the pleasure is mine!

You would be surprised, the number of times it pays to stop and go back to basics and try again!
