Greetings all. I am having an odd problem with a 2000 ips pbx. I have some old series E handsets and some of the newer series I handsets. I am also using some older PN-8DLCL Cards and some newer PN-8DLCP Cards. I have had some of the Series E's "die", they are on the older cards (obviously) and the Series I phones work at the same LEN. I beleive they have lost programming somehow as our vendor had me enter 1217>(extension)>1 exe and this brought back a couple of the Series E handsets but not all. I havent been able to find anything that is different in these extensions programming. Food for thought. Thanks in advance

It sounds like you have some "DTerm Elite" phones. They look exactly like DTerm E sets but to make them work you have to set CM 1217. I am sure that is your problem.

I have set cmd 1217 on the handset to both 1 and 3 initializing the switch after, no dice.

Per the Command Manual -

For PN-8DLC cards, this data must be assigned to the first LEN (Level 0) and fifth LEN (Level 4) of each card.

What the command manual DOESN'T tell us is that it controls the four ports 0 through 3 or 4 through 7. You cant mix and match. It is a pain.

This worked, after a little peripheral programming. Thanks for your help grh959.
