Hi,
I have inheritied a NEC 2000 IVS system with Dterm Series III handsets. We connect headset with ADA - J units. When programming a headset/handset button some will automatically grab the primary line and some require pressing the primary line along with the headset button (some clients find this a bit annoying).

Anyone know what I am missing here?

Thanks

Thanks Gary -
The prime line pick up did not work. The speaker button picks up the line ok but still a no go on the headset.

Hi,
Ended up that we had to reprogram the works. Deleted the LENS assignment(CMD 10) and reset the line, primary line (CMD 93) and then reset the headset button (CMD 9000).
Everyone happy.

Not even sure what version. The programming manuals I am working with are from 1995 and have be programming through a phone. Most of the headsets work (about 50 here) and so far I have only seen two with this problem. One of them didn't work right from day one (whenever that was) and the other started for no apparent reason.
We deleted and recreated the button, reset the primary line and reprogrammed the button still a no go. Figured it must be some glitch at the lens.

Again thanks for the primary line thing. The command manual is not to intuative and it takes a bit to figure out what commands are good.
