System: Neax 2000 IVS2
Phone set: Dterm Series E 16-button

Problem:
The speed dial keys (the first 2 rows of keys below the soft keys) programmed to dial internal extension do not light up when pressed to call the extension. Swap phone and the lights work for another extension (it should turn red when calling the programmed extension). Hence, the lights on the phone set are fine so the problem is related to that particular extension.

Any clue on how to fix this?

Thanks!

Two things have to be setup in order for this to work and may depend on the software release of the IVS2. I don't know what release this was first available in.

Command 94 has to match Command 73 for the given station.

CM73>2314:023002-

CM94>2314:023002-

And the key number must match the Speed Dial Bin.

CM9000>2314,01:F1101-
CM9000>2314,02:F1102-
CM9000>2314,03:F1103-
etc...

If the Speed Dial Bin has already been program it will have to be reprogramed after the above programing.

Hope this helps

Hello, Victor,

Thanks for your reply. I checked this extension (307) and found that the value assigned to CM73 is not the same as CM94. However, I also noticed that there are several extensions have the same value for those two CM. For example:

CM73>303:002002
CM73>312:002002

CM94>303:002002
CM94>312:002002

Is this possible? If not, how can I find out the correct value for each extension?

Thanks!

Speed Dial memory Command 73 and 94 allocate Speed Dial Memory as follows:

Digit 1: the thousands group
Digit 2: the hundreds group
Digit 3: the tens group
Digit 4: 0 allows programming of bins/1 does not allow programming of bins
Digit 5 & 6: the number of tens of bins allocated - 02 = 20 bins

To allocate you simply add up as follows:

Station 1: 000002 (20 speed dial bins)
Station 2: 002001 (10 speed dial bins)
Station 3: 003003 (30 speed dial bins)
Next entry is 0060xx

In your case 303 and 312 are sharing the same speed dial memory. If buttons are programmed the same at both stations, then when 303 chances a bin it also changes at 312. For example:

CM9000>303,03:F1102
CM9000>312,03:F1102

To find what memory is assigned to each station you need to create a list.

If you have MATWorX and depending on the version, I'm currently using Version 10.0.0, there is a Speed Dial Listup under Function. Otherwise, a listup may be created using the MOC Script Editor.

If you are not filmier with the MOC Script Editor look at
The easist way is to:
1. listup all LENs sort by Station number
2. Throw out anything that is not a station
3. delete the LENs column
4. change the Command for 10/14 to 73 or 94, depending on which command you want to list
5. save, load and do a lookup

For your info.....
DSS/BLF on feature keys.
1. First released 1800 series software IVS.
2. Feature is ONLY available on 2,4,8, and 16 button sets ONLY!!! 32 button sets have their designated one touch keys.
3. Feature is only available on Series E and Series I sets.
4. CM 73 and CM 94 for the Station MUST match.
5. The CM 73 and 94 memory assignment must be unique to each station using the feature.
6. The spd bin number must match the key number of the station. E.g. spd bin 3 (F1103)on key 03 of Dterm.
7. The lead digit of the station recorded under a key must = a station in the numbering plan at the time of assignment and not LCR. E.g. CM 200>2>A129 change to 804 then program station 2XXX under the DSS/BLF key before changing 2 back to 200>2>A129.
8. The station recorded under the spd bin/key must not have duplicate bins on the same station or BLF will not work. E.g if station 2000 is recorded under bin/key 3 it must not be placed under any other bin/key within the memory for that station.

I think that's all the conditions. If I missed any let me know. I don't think these are listed in any manual.

Not sure if we can attach a spreadsheet in this forum but....
I have an excel spreadsheet that we use for keeping track of speed dial memory.

Just a quick note that in the thread linked to above I explain how to alter the format of the .CSV file to make it work with matworx 6.3 and above. This is not necessary with later versions as it will now accept it as saved from excel in .CSV format. Unfortunately the thread has been archived so I can't update it. Will post an update seperately.
