We have a few DT700 handsets with SIP 2.3.61.12 Firmware

Trying to get them registered on a SV8100, have factory reset the phone but not registering and the extension number is still displayed on the phone, will not clear and get extension number from SV8100

If the phone was previously used on this system the MAC is stored, and is associated with the extension it was previously registered as. You need to go to 90-23 on WebPro, and check the box next to the extension and hit apply. This will dis-associate the mac with the old extension. Then you need to log in with PCPro, and add the new extension in the IP phone list. This should allow the new registration.

If the extension number is still showing up on the phone I dont think you choose the option to reset all to factory. To delete the extension # showing up on phone SIP Settings > SIP USER > Extension > delete it. Sometimes I have seen people put it also in USER ID in same area SIP Settings > SIP USER > USER ID > delete it. If you have factory defaulted then you would need to put back in the first SIP server address so the phone knows where to register too and you may also need to change the SIP port being used depending if the 8100 is issuing DHCP or if the DHCP server is. Does the phone display SIP server not found? or ?

These phone, four, have never been used on our system. Have performed a factory reset from admin/maintenance menu.

the Terminal Status of the phone is as follows:

Firmware version: NEC Std SIP 2.3.61.12

Terminal File Version: 1.210

Hardware Version: 9.1.4.3

SIP Information: Account name not available

The phone also reboots after around 5 minutes

Log into the phone system using PCPro. download, and look at 10-12-09. This is your SIP server address. Verify there is an IP address in 84-26 on the same subnet as 10-12-09. This is the DSP resource and this address is what processes the voice packets to the phones.
Verify 10-54 has the license number 5103, and a quantity assigned to the IPPad.
Click on the standard tab, blade config. You want to look at the hardware ports you are using so when you assign an IP phone they don't conflict.
Now once you have hardware port numbers, go to 11-02 and you want to assign your station numbers on a UNEQUIPPED port. I usually start assigning IP stations well above the hardware ports to allow for expansion. There are some limits to licensing where you can place these (max port license)
Now, this is what makes the station an IP station instead of an unequipped port. On the tool bar up top go to programming>Unregistered phones>IP phone list. A small box will appear, scroll to your station number you built and tick the check box, and click ok.
Once you have the station number built assign the name, buttons, DID's, forwarding, and VM as you would normally.
Upload everything you programmed to the system, disconnect, and you are ready to config the phone.
You will go to the phone, and during the boot cycle when the display shows dhcp connecting press hold transfer *# (you should hear tones from the phone when you are doing the key sequence. If not wait and re-try)
The USER is ADMIN password 6633222.
Go to option 2 SIP Settings, Option 2 SIP Server/ URL, 1st server address, and enter the IP address programmed in your system at 10-12-09.
hit ok and back then go to the SIP server port and change to 5080 (default port number). Hit ok, back, back, save etc until the phone exits config mode.
The phone should boot, and connect to the system as an IP Phone.
Let me know how it goes.
