I can not transfer any calls from my dss,I can see when someone is off-hook. I have reset the dss and checked all programming and all seems to be fine, any help appreciated. My switch is a 2000ivs2.

taking this and the problem you are having with the 32 key phone I will first ask if these are on the same card. If they are try swapping the card also a system reset (back up that data first though). Beyond this without hands on I am currently running out of possibilities.

Did this just start to happen or did it follow any other changes?

Can you pick up your handset and push a key on the DSS and ir call that person?

No to both dontworx and ozziegeorge.

The trouble I am having with the dss is on another 2000ivs2 switch.I can see when someone is off hook but I can not transfer any calls any where no matter which way I try.I have unplugged, reset ,etc.....no transfer. Switched cards and replaced dss, nothing. Thanks

I would go through everything from the start
Check cmd 10 make sure if it is in pim 0/1 you assighn it as E100-E107 if pim 2/3 E108-E115 and so on. Then make sure it is assighned in cmd 96 to the correct extension and then the button mapping in 97 and that is it. If you have done that what Kind of card are you using and 8-dlcp or an 8-dlcl?

We have done everything that we can come up with but still no go.I'm sure it has to be something in programming that is the culprit, everything else has been done twice and even three times gone over.I will continue to look into this problem and will let it be known what it was to all interested. Thanks for all the help.

The reason I asked what card you are using is becouse their is a change that has to be made with the 8-dlcl

Pimm 0,E100 is on lens 006.I will have to check in the morning what card it is,that card did not sound familiar.Thanks.

IP,

Is on the right track but what pim is the station in that the DSS is associated on?

Nope, nothing has changed since it was installed 4 years ago.

When you say it is another switch, Do you have a remote pim going on or is it a CCIS arrangement?

This is a known issue where any type of software upgrade can cause the loss of the DSS function but still allow the BLF portion.
The only way I know to clear this is to back up the data base, B load the MP and then re-load database.
Once again I have seen this many times but NEVER just out of the blue like this. It has always been after some sort of software upgrade to the MP or an attempted upgrade.
