Installing a DSS T1 on a Merlin Legend R7

Line provider wants to know the following from me:

Wink Start Yes or No?
Ground Start or Loop Start?
DTMF Yes or No?

What kind of service are they providing/did the client ask for?

Is it D-I-D or what?

99 times out of 100 these days it's PRI, which means those questions are not to be considered.

Straight T1, not a PRI, will handle DID's on it also, eliminating analog did trunks and analog lines and replacing with a t1.

If you are going with T1 D-I-D, not PRI, then the answer is:

E&M Tie Lines
DTMF - YES
WINK - YES IN and OUT
LS or GS DOES NOT APPLY with TIE LINES.

But one question for your client, if the T1 goes down, how do you remotely trouble shoot? (That is, without a "Backup" ls line)

They will be keeping two analog lines for alarm, they also use those lines in hunt to call in direct to voicemail to get their messages.

Do you by chance have a cheat sheet for programming dss t1's in a legend?

Also, remember that the digits they send have to match your dial plan, OR YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR DIAL PLAN to match the digits sent.
