What is exactly a dspool on a 3300?

I have a problem on 2 mcd 6.0 in cluster of 4 with the dspool. They seem to be all in used after 6-7 days.

Mitel are working on a patch, but I'm not sure to realy understand exactly what the dspool are use for.

Thanks for your input.

It is a resource pool. "DSPOOL" as in meaning DS Pool.

I've been away from Mitel so long that I don't recall the name of the actual resource, (Digital Signal Processors perhaps) but if there are errors or alarms indicating a DS Pool issue then my guess would be that there are some resources in use that are not being released properly (i.e., at the end of a call), thereby depleting the pool over time and then ultimately rendering some process inoperable.

That's exactly what is happening.
But there is no alarm or error that indicate that all teh DS Pool are being used automaticaly. We need to login on the sx2000 side in telnet to look at them .

seem to remember a bug on this at some point. What is the software version?

From the Help file: (dspool=digit string pool)
Bucket
A bucket (referred to as system dspool) is the amount of memory required to add one digit string. The following feature resources are measured in buckets:
multiline sets button digit string
speedcall digit string
system digit string
transient digit string.
The Unit Size gives the number of bytes required to add one bucket. A bucket holds one digit string of up to seven digits in length. Each digit string of seven digits or less requires one bucket, while digit strings with more than seven digits require more buckets. For example:
Adding the digit string 8811 requires 1 bucket.
Adding the digit string 95922122 requires 2 buckets.
Adding the digit strings 881 and 882 requires 2 buckets.
Adding a 26-digit string requires 26/7 (rounded) = 4 buckets.
The number of buckets on is based on the maximum number of elements per cluster programmed in the License and Option Selection form:
30 elements = 20,000 buckets
60 elements = 30,000 buckets
250 elements = 30,000 buckets
999 elements =100,000 buckets

Thanks a lot SXWizard.

The problem was in the zone form. The last two field (default billing and CPN substitution??) are used for SIP trunk. We don't have sip trunks but someone put their main number in these two fields. It seem to cause an issue with Nupoint when there is something.

Now it's working fine....
