Hi everyone,
First of all, let me give you my specs:
Linksys ethernet card (older one)
Linksys router (befsr41)
Fujitsu Speedport aDSL modem.
Windows XP Home
IP - Static
LAN - Static
i also have norton internet security 2002...
My problem: Everyone once in a while, seems to be twice daily, my DSL connection will drop but all my modem lights will remain on and constant. To be able to access the internet, what i have to do is unplug the CAT5 connection to my router (befsr41), unplug the CAT5 connection to my ADSL modem (fujitsu), wait a few seconds then reconnected the ADSL modem, then the Router. This is the ONLY way i can fix it as other quicker means will not help at all. I have switched IPs, no luck. I have been through 2 computers and it still is having the same problem it has always had ( has been going on for about a year now ). The only thing that remained constant is the old linksys ethernet card and the fujitsu modem. I just recently bought the linksys router, so it didnt hurt or help it. I am stuck here, i am thinking it is either the fujitsu ADSL modem or my old linksys card... other than that, im stumped. All help is much appreciated!!!
thanks,
jared
