DSCXL is a HiPath 4000 processor, so I'm not sure which system we are talking about, but: a "9" on the ADP processor typically means that the ADP has found the device from which it will load, and the load process has begun. If the processor is "stuck" on 9, it sounds as if there is a problem with the load device e.g. hard drive. If this system really is a Hicom, I suggest powering off the ADP, re-seat the hard drive/DAT assembly. Make sure that the dongle is installed on the ADP's onboard RMX port - then power on the ADP. If the problem was a simple communication issue between the ADP and the hard drive (perhaps an ethernet Hub-C problem), the power down and re-seat may have cleared it. If the ADP reaches a "-." on the 7-segment display within a minute or so after seeing the "9", then the problem has probably cleared.
Note: If this system is redundant (has SWU processors in addition to the ADP), then my suggestion should NOT interrupt dial tone. Some system features however do not work when the hard drive is unavailable e.g. system speed.
Good luck.
