I am having a problem with a DS30B Module(10.0.0.0 550), it is blinking red/green and unable to connect with the control unit(9.1).
 
Are you using the 3M shielded cable that comes with the DS30?
 
Need more information please:

Are you using the provided shielded cable? (as DaIPOTek already stated)
Do you have a small upgrade license?
Do you see the expansions extension in the config?
If you go to file>advanced>upgrade can you see the expansion?
Have you tried multiple expansion ports?

Usually the blinking red part means it is an error on the module. I believe there is a FAQ on this site about what to do if you module has a red light. I am sure there are posts if not a FAQ.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
 
ed/green indicates the Module is stuck in a reboot loop
this can often be caused by accidentally connecting a network card to one of the DS ports



Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
 
I am using the blue cable provided,
The module is not showing up on the conrtole unite neither when attepmting to upgrade.
I do not have the upgrade lic.

I tryied using other ports
 
Power down system. Open Manger and power up system. If it isn't fried it should get files and come back.

 
Make sure the expansion is powered on before the processor.
The file server can be set to manager of it allows that in the manager preferences or better set to SD card.
If it doesn't get the files or is not recognized then it may be broken or the processor may have been upgraded with a small upgrade license which will not allow expansion units to work.
