Had a DS30B that we could not downgrade from 9.0 to 8.1 using Manager. Did not see PCN on this until... DTE into DS30B and use AT commend. Kept coming back with the word ERROR and brings you back to a -> prompt. Same with any other AT command. Type help get a bunch of commands. One was upgrade. Tried it. Found DS30B was looking for a .bin file. Googled the bin file name and found the PCN. Did the upgrade according to the PCN. Now Manager sees it. Says it is upgraded and shows it in config. But the LED stays out. Phones do not work. Like the box is stopped but in the DTE port output it keeps trying to find the .bin file using tftp. Like it never upgraded.
Just wondering if anyone ran across this and knows of a fix.
There is a patch on avaya website if you want to put a DS16 or 30 B on an 8.1(79) or earlier(8.1) release. Didn't check if they work on 8.0
