DS30A AVAYA EXPANSION MODULE 4

I HAVE AVAYA IP OFFICE -500 V2 DS30A EXPANSION MODULE THAT CANT BE RECOGNIZE BY THE CONTROL UNIT.ALSO THE DS16A EXPANSION MODULE CANT BE RECOGNIZE.BOTH ARE RJ21 CONECTORS.WHAT CAN I DO TO RESOLVE THESE ISSUE.

Are they on the same firm ware level?

Have they just stopped working ?

If the main unit has been upgraded have you.

A. ensured that you have a large site upgrade licence?

B. Have you sent the expansion units to R3.2_99 first?

Infonaut,

A-> There are two types of licenses 1 small up to 32 extension and a normal one for more then 32 extensions and/or expansion modules.
B->Ds16 and DS30 V2 modules always need to go version 3.2.999 otherwise you will have issues.

There is only a problem, on an IP500V2 the modules will be upgraded automatically without going trough 3.2.999 first.

Hi, montyzummer .Thanks for your help,i apreciate it. But let me tell you iam new in IPO. First can you answer me what is a large upgrade licence,and second how is the procedure to send DS30A and DS16A to rls R3.2_99. I will apreciate all the help you can give me.

Both the DS30A and the DS16A should come out of the box at with version 9.0(126401). No upgrade should be required to be recognized. Are you using the patch cords that came with the modules?

I just encountered a problem with a ds16a module that would lose connectivity a couple times a day until a reboot was done. Tech support had me take it to 9_23 then back up to 10_18. After one day it is still working.
