Just upgraded a 406v2 @ 5.0 to a new 500v2 @ 8.1, everything except a DS30 (500v2) upgraded fine. I have tried everything including DTE w/AT-X to no avail, DS30 just stays Red! Term prog says "tftp load poll fail"? I've even tried using 3rd party tftp program! Any ideas or is it "bricked"?

Pull the power from both and first power up the module.
Then power up the IPO.
Now let it rest for a while as the module should be detected and auto update itself from the IP500v2.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

You may need to do a stepped up grade. It doesn't always like to jump 3 versions. I know the core software needs to go to 7 before going to 8 depending on the original version. I recently had an analog trunk module that I had to step up when we changed out the 500V1 for a V2 and moved to a higher version.

A genius doesn't solve problems, he prevents them~~!!~~

Yes, tlpeter...I've tried that but nothing happens. I've also tried to do the 3.2.999 upgrade & it seems to work but still nothing? The module LED stays RED & is not recognized by the control unit. I've created a new config with the necessary licenses & IP settings, included the DS30 module & then done the DTE thing but NOTHING seems to bring it back to life? Does anyone know if this is "Repairable"?

The modules show as constant red while they are upgrading of the SD card, this can last a few minutes. How long did you leave them before rebooting and messing on with them? You may have screwed them by AT-Xing when in fact they were just fine :)

"No problem monkey socks

At one point...I left it connected for almost 1hr but still nothing, I understood that the AT-X only erased firmware but again, it didn't help anyway?

No, but the first time it happened...I would say it sat for over 30min.
