DS30 Expansion Module Randomly Reboots

We have not upgraded or made any configuration changes to our IP Office system other than an IP change for infrastructure improvements and one of our DS30 expansion modules is rebooting at random. Any thoughts or assistance is greatly appreciated and please let us know if you just need more info to help, I can get logs, etc. to ensure we get this resolved. We do not have a service contract with anyone and need to resolve this asap. Please assist if capable, we have already taken into consideration this thread: and are unsure of that being the case.

Thank you for dealing with my absurd noob-ness.

I would say the module may be faulty or perhaps just the power supply, you need to hope it's the power supply as the modules cost many many times more than a support contract would :)

Thank you Hovus for your prompt response but we are looking to have this resolved through mental aptitude and this cool forum that folks put together specifically for this. We have worked with partners in the area before and that will be our last stance at this point. Thanks again though. :D

@amriddle01 - Is there an easy (or hard) way to determine for sure that the power supply is the culprit??

switch the PSU with another one and see if it still happens

there is, I am afraid, no other way to do it.

We had this problem when our IPO was first installed. Had an old phone guy moving pairs in the wiring closet to do MACs (because they had always done it that way on the old system...) instead of making changes in the software. Turns out he was shorting pairs and causing modules to reboot. So might check your pairs coming off the module.

good idea PianoManTX the ports that are active you will not need to take out of commission but unplug all ports that are not active and see if it helps.
I had a system once where they plugged in a PC into the port and it brought it down but it was down until that was removed which is not the case with your system.

I would definitely unplug any non-used ports on the Dig 30 as was mentioned above. If that doesn't work and it still reboots, try unplugging all ports and plug them back in one at a time. If there is one that is shorting the module out, it should reboot when the culprit is plugged back in.
