Can someone please explain what this means in BCM language

A DS30 is a system expansion bus supporting 32 time slots known as B1 and B2 DN's.
On BCM there are 6 DS30 buses in a 2/6 configuration.
On BCM there are 5 DS30 buses in a 3/5 configuration.
The number of DS30's available determines the number of media bay modules you can install in a BCM.
Different module types require different DS30 resources.
Overall this relates to system capacity, directory numbering, and line numbering.

if you know the norstar ..then approx each port on the expansion cartridge (2p, 6p exp or combo) ==DS30

in the BCM you have some flexibility is assigning DS30 resources

dont know what is a ds90 ....where did u find that

A DS30 is a system expansion bus supporting 32 time slots known as B1 and B2 DN's.

What do thy mean by Bus? And DN's?

it is a bus like a PCI bus ...TDM bus ...DN is a directory number ... how the switch processor 'identifies' a terminal connected to a bus

what r u trying to find out?

A DN is a directory number, also known as an extension number.
B1's are normally used for telephones.
B2's are normally used for voicemail channels.
In BCM3.0 and up it is possible with the correct hardware to support telephones with B2 channels.
This can double system capacity over previous versions.
Each B channel can support one telephone.
Examples:
A Digital Trunk Module requires 1 DS30
A Digital Station Module 16 requires 1 DS30 = 16 sets
A Digital Station Module 16+ requires 1/2 DS30 = 16 sets
A Caller ID Trunk Module 4 requires 1/4 bus = 4 trunks
A 4x16 combo module requires 1 1/4 bus = 4 lines + 16 sets

I know of no reference to a DS90 regarding BCM.
There is a reference to a DS256 which is the interface on the MSC card used to connect the BCM Expansion cabinet.
Normally in circuit switched networks a DS0 is a 64k time slot also known as a bearer channel.
A BRI line has two DS0's =128k (2*64)
A T1 has 24 DS0's = 1.54 Mb (24*64)
